About Julyssa
Hi, I'm Julyssa — the baker behind La Casita.
La Casita began with a love for creating desserts that make people feel at home. Growing up, some of my earliest baking inspiration came from watching my mother Joanna in the kitchen. Those moments taught me that baking is about more than following a recipe — it is about care, patience, family, and creating something meaningful for the people around you.
Drawing inspiration from my Puerto Rican and Guatemalan roots, I now create homemade desserts for birthdays, holidays, celebrations, gifts, and everyday cravings. Every order is prepared from scratch in small batches from my home in Haverhill.
